AFTER AN ODYSSEY THROUGH THE WORLD OF FAITH

If someone had told me in the past that the Bible would one day be the compass of my life, I would have laughed out loud. I was convinced that religion was only for naive, unworldly people with a penchant for fairy tales.

In addition to my work as a manager, however, I have always been interested in history, ethnology, archaeology and politics. This eventually brought me into contact with „religions“ and „death cults“. Was it all just humbug? At some point I wanted to know for sure. So I decided to investigate all religions, churches and their teachings and read a lot - often until the early hours of the morning. I also visited libraries, museums, church services and lectures, discussed with countless priests, theologians, rabbis and imams - weighed up the pros and cons of their arguments and drew my conclusions.

I studied the cults of the Sumerians and Assyrians, the Mayans, Babylonians, Persians, Egyptians, Greeks and Romans, as well as the Koran, the Eastern reincarnation religions such as Arianism, Hinduism, Zoroaster, Buddhism, Lamaism, Zen, Shang in China, Confucianism, Taoism, Shintoism in Japan, the cult of Mithras, etc. Finally, I also studied Nostradamus, the Voodoo cult, shamanism, the Scientology „religion”, New Age, occultism, spiritualism, Freemasonry, Freemasonry and so on. Finally, I also looked into Nostradamus, the Voodoo cult, shamanism, the Scientology "religion", New Age, occultism, spiritualism and Freemasonry. I left nothing out. But none of it was plausible. Some of it was even off-putting, even inhuman.

In the meantime, I realised that a God and a heaven - if there were both - would only be plausible according to the Bible. So I read more and more of the Bible. I was fascinated by the many prophecies of God and their breathtaking fulfilment throughout history right up to the present day. So I took another closer look at Christianity, i.e. Catholicism and Protestantism, as well as its many fragmentations. „Why are there so many contradictory Christian doctrines?“ I asked myself.

Finally, I „discovered“ the Sabbath in the Jewish synagogues. I was thrilled. However, Jesus is still rejected there as the Son of God to this day. So I set out again in search of a church that kept the Sabbath and did not contradict the biblical statements in any other way. With God's help, I found the Adventist Church at the very end of my search. After checking it out for a while, I was convinced that it really was the only church that still taught and practised the teachings of Jesus. As a result, my wife (Catholic) and I (Protestant) were baptised together in the Adventist Church in November 1987. It was a long journey that also brought us trials. But we arrived (at the right address). And after my critical odyssey through the global supermarket of religions, I am one hundred per cent sure of my cause.

In view of prophecy and the signs of the times, I know what God has called our church to do exclusively: Namely, that we as messengers from heaven, each of us according to our gifts, joyfully and audibly proclaim the threefold angel's message to all people and give them food for thought so that they can make a conscious decision for or against God. We should remember this every day.
