Many modern people deal with esotericism, thoughts from the world of superstition and spiritualism on a daily basis. Behind this lies the adversary of God. He has spread a dense fog over these areas, so that many do not realise that they are dealing with Satan. This is by no means harmless. Many people from all walks of life suffer from mental, physical and spiritual stress because they have become involved in occult and esoteric offerings. But even those who have unintentionally come into contact with it can be burdened.

Even occult activities of ancestors can lead to someone being burdened. Often the person affected does not even know where their distress comes from. The key question is: How can you become free of occult stress?

We will briefly look at the different practices and the resulting burdens and then focus in particular on the path of liberation. For those who walk this path, a „new life“ begins. Anyone who enters into a very personal friendship with God can have this experience.

The great battle between Christ and Satan

The Bible informs us in Revelation 12:7-9 MUCH about the „war“ between Christ and the devil:

„Then a battle arose in heaven: Michael (that is Christ) and his angels fought with the dragon; the dragon and his angels also fought, but they did not win the victory, and their stay was no longer in heaven. So the great dragon, that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world, was cast down to earth, and his angels were cast down with him.“

This is how this war was brought to our earth. What is happening today in our time: „Satan has long been preparing for his final deception of the world.“ (From shadow to light, S. 511 (VSL) or The big fight, S. 563 (GK)) As the peak of the deception is developing today, it is highly recommended to inform yourself in detail in VSL Part 5: The secret of evil, from p. 448 or in GK from p. 495, ch. 29: The origin of evil.

The profile: Devil, Satan, Lucifer, Diabolos

Jesus himself, who knows him best, gives us a precise description. We find this profile of the devil in John 8:44 GNB:

„He (the devil) has been a murderer from the beginning and has never had anything to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. If he lies, it is according to his nature; for he is a liar and all lies come from him.“

What comes from the devil? Murder and lies! What does that mean? He wants to ruin my life and skilfully hides it. He uses a clever method. He mixes so much truth into his lies until the lies are believed.

A masterful camouflage

The devil is a master of hide-and-seek. It says in 2 Corinthians 11:14: „And it's no wonder! It camouflages Satan himself is an angel of light.“ The apostle Paul uses the expression „angel of light“ to tell us that the devil poses as a benefactor of humanity. This is an ingenious disguise, because the enemy can hardly be detected behind it. As an „angel of light“ or as a „benefactor of mankind“, the devil makes us seemingly brilliant, seductive offers.

The costs

If God helps you and you make use of his offer, it costs you nothing! You have to pay dearly for the devil's help, which you use consciously or unconsciously. When God helps, he does so because he loves us. Love cannot be paid for. Love gives for free. The devil doesn't love us, on the contrary, he hates us. If I take advantage of his help, which he offers me as an apparent benefactor, then I have to pay a price for it. The devil wants to ruin me. He demands high prices ...

The disguised offer of help

„… No one is to tell fortunes, cast spells, summon spirits or practise magic. No one may use incantations to avert disaster, consult spirits of the dead, predict the future or seek contact with the deceased. Whoever does such a thing is disgusting to the Lord. Precisely because of these abominable customs (LU Gräuel) He will drive out the other nations and give you their land. But you belong to the LORD your God. Therefore be faithful to him alone!“(Leviticus 18:9-13)

Particularly serious sins

When the Bible refers to some things as „abominable customs“ or „abominable sins“, these are particularly serious sins with serious consequences. These are not harmless „little things“. God was so clear because he wants to prevent us from making ourselves - and our families - miserable and causing great harm. These atrocities are some of the masks behind which the devil hides.

Through which doors does a person open themselves to dark, satanic powers? And what are the consequences? God commanded the people of Israel before he led them to Canaan: „...you shall not learn to do the abominations of these nations!“ (Deuteronomy 18:9-14) But this is exactly what is being practised worldwide today. The consequences are occult burdens and even possession! Thank God: Jesus sets free! The YouTube video lecture „Occultism: Satan's gateways“ by Pastor Franz Krakolinig shows in detail the paths of occult burdens. We will now look at these gateways in the following overview. Occult forces can seduce people to become active in these diabolical areas and so we become more and more entangled in things that God has forbidden and that are not good for us. For a detailed and comprehensive look at this topic, see also the book by Kurt Hasel: „The magic of superstition“.

These phenomena can occur even if the current inhabitants or their ancestors are not or were not occultly burdened. In this case, the cause lies in the occult or spiritualistic activity of the Previous owner of the house. These appearances can be oppressive and frightening. But Jesus is the victor! If you experience such phenomena, then seek the help of Christians who are closely connected to Jesus Christ. They can pray for you and place you under God's protection.

The first two steps are fundamentally important for a personal relationship with God, the third only for a prayer of deliverance.

1. Confess all your known and conscious sins to Jesus in a comprehensive and complete confession.

Confess your sins individually and loudly. „... Those who want to hide their transgressions will not succeed; those who confess and renounce their wrongdoing will find God's mercy.“ (Proverbs 28:13) In your personal confession of sins, confess all the sins you have committed that you have not yet confessed. Prepare this prayer by writing down all these sins in keywords on a piece of paper and then confess them to Jesus Christ. During the prayer itself, ask God for forgiveness for every single sin. Since occult sins are a secret, confession of sin must be made aloud so that the secret of sin is broken. Since our sins are nobody's business, this prayer should be prayed alone.

Someone who is closely connected to God should only be present in exceptional cases if the person concerned wants to be certain that they have prayed „correctly“ according to God's will. An even better way, however, is if you have confessed all your sins alone, then pray a general prayer of confession of sins alone or with a helper, for example by saying. B. you can say by way of introduction: I have confessed my sins to you by name. It is important that you prepare yourself for the prayer of confession of sins in order to confess all the sins you have committed and have not yet confessed.

When going through the gateways of Satan mentioned on pages 3-5, you should make a note of the key words. There may also be sins that are not mentioned in these lists. Some may find clues for themselves in the following short or longer sample prayer.

2. surrender your life fully and completely to Jesus Christ

Surrender everything you are and have to Jesus Christ, then you are a true child of God. Jesus Christ wants to be the only Lord in your life. Jesus is the best Lord, your best friend. There is no better Lord and friend. Jesus deserves your complete trust. He will not let you down. He loves you! He knows your situation. I encourage you to accept Jesus' invitation. He says to you: „... Come to me, all you who are oppressed and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest ... for my yoke is easy and my burden is light.“ (Matthew 11:28-30)

Isn't handing over our lives an expectation of Jesus that goes too far?

It is an expectation that is based on love. The Bible compares our relationship with Jesus to a marriage. No one would get married if the other person wanted to reserve another day for someone else.  Love gives itself completely and expects the same from its partner. Jesus has given himself totally to us. He expects the same from us so that he can make us happy for this and eternal life. I made my fundamental surrender years ago in prayer.

I cultivate my relationship with Jesus by including the following in my prayer every morning: „I surrender all that I am and all that I have to you.“ Through this and by asking for the Holy Spirit every day (Luke 11:13) „let us abide in him“ (1 John 5:14) and „have“ Jesus (1 John 5:12). 

3. pray a prayer of deliverance

As a child of God, cancel the contract with the devil now. Give the devil the final rejection in the name of Jesus. Pray a prayer of rejection. When you today and now walk the path of liberation with Jesus, Jesus will give you today and now give victory. (See The magic of superstition Depending on the situation, „General prayer of rejection“, p. 92 or „Prayer of rejection in case of burden from the foreparents“, p. 93 or "Prayer of rejection in case of sins and bondage in the occult", p. 94).

Jesus Christ is the great victor.

Before the deliverance prayer, it is very important that the occultly burdened person goes through the list of Satan's gateways thoroughly in order to then all sins practised and to ask Jesus Christ for deliverance! (Gateways, see p. 3 - 5). Below is a sample prayer.

Trust or feelings

Don't wait for a blissful feeling. Trust Jesus!

He has heard your prayer and set you free. Faith and trust rely on what God has said.

What happens when I rely on my feelings? Roger J. Morneau, whom God saved from a Satanic church, writes about this: „The [demonic] spirits encourage people to listen to their feelings instead of the Word of Christ and His prophets. There is no surer way than listening to feelings, which gives the spirits dominion over people's lives without the person concerned realising what is happening.“ (Roger J. Morneau, A journey into the world of the supernatural, Zurich, p. 38)

The best start to the day

Start each day with a personal prayer of consecration and Bible reading in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Attend the service in a church that is faithful to the Bible, e.g. B. the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Ask church members anchored in Jesus Christ for a Bible study on a victorious life with Jesus!

Remain in Jesus

Jesus says: If you abide in me, I will abide in you (John 15:4). It is very important to remain with Jesus and to grow in this relationship! How can I abide in Jesus? Through a constant reception of his Spirit, a life of unconditional devotion to his service. (The life of Jesus, Page 675.2)

Jesus warns in Luke 11:24-26: „When an evil spirit is cast out of a person, it wanders around desolate areas in search of a new home. If it doesn't find one, it decides: ‚I want to go back to where I came from‘. When he returns and finds his former home clean and tidy, he looks for seven other ghosts who are even worse than himself. Together they move into the person, who is now even worse off than before.“ (Hfa)

It is glorious to trust Jesus and to remain under his protection (cf. 1 John 5:18).

Behaviour after the prayer of rejection

1. Don't talk about the things you have done wrong. You don't want to advertise for Satan, because you now belong to Jesus Christ and want to give him the honour.
2. Destroy, throw away and burn all objects that do not belong in a Christian home or that are cursed by Satan.
3. Do not recall these practices.

Freedom from television addiction, depression and binge eating

„I was in hospital and very discouraged. Our preacher brought me the book The Magic of Superstition. Reading it opened my eyes to my situation. I walked the path of deliverance described in the book. I also prayed the suggested prayers.

Since then, I have been a very happy person. God has freed me from many shackles from which I suffered a lot. These were television addiction, depression and uncontrolled eating behaviour. h.
